YOUNGSTOWN — A 35-year-old Youngstown man was to be arraigned today in municipal court on a misdemeanor charge related to the stripping of aluminum siding off a vacant house behind his Bennington Avenue home on the city’s East Side.
Police said Charles H. Kellum admitted to an officer that he took the siding off a house on Ravine Road about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said they had received a call about the stripping and were told by a neighbor the person responsible lives behind the vacant house.
An officer went inside Kellum’s opened garage and saw two baskets filled with siding, police said. When asked, Kellum acknowledged he removed the siding, according to police. Kellum was charged with unauthorized removal.
