Way With Words to sponsor scramble
LAKE MILTON — A Way With Words Foundation will sponsor its fourth annual golf scramble May 31 at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course in Lake Milton as a benefit for kids with cancer. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
The cost for golfers will be $300 for a four-person team. The fee includes green fees, carts, and tickets for a shot at a $250,000 prize. There will be special cash prizes of $400, $300 and $200 for first-, second- and third-place winners.
There will also be a 50-50 raffle, and golfers will have an opportunity to win several events prizes, such as $10,000, two round-trip airline tickets to be used in the continental U.S., golf clubs and an LCD TV in addition to 18 prizes for preset holes. Hot dogs and chips will be available at the turn, and there will be a steak or grilled chicken dinner, complete with parsley potatoes, salad, beer and pop.
Hole, cart and path sponsorships are available. Proceeds from the event will help finance a trip for the ROCck Children’s Choir to Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina during Cancer Week. For more information contact Brenda Rider, (330) 360-3300.
