RTI reports higher first-quarter earnings


PITTSBURGH — RTI International Metals today reported first-quarter earnings of $22.2 million, compared with $22.1 million in the same quarter last year.

The company also reported first-quarter sales of $150.6 million, compared with $145.6 million in the same quarter a year ago. It said increased sales came primarily from increased demand from the aerospace industry.

RTI recently moved its corporate headquarters from Weathersfield Township to Moon Township, Pa. It still retains some corporate staff and its RMI Titanium mill in Weathersfield.
