Business expansion

SALEM — A $4 million or more expansion is coming to Salem, according to John Kufleitner, owner of Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge, 1965 N. Ellsworth Ave.

The dealership on the west side of the road is in Perry Township. Kufleitner plans to build a new dealership across the road on vacant land that is in the city.

That, along with a planned King Collision body shop, would be an expansion of more than $4 million.

Other stores, such as a carryout, a gas station or a small grocery store could be added. Kufleitner said he has received supportive calls about the project on the north side of the city, were there is little development.

He also owns Columbiana Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge off state Route 14.
