NIGHT AT THE RACES

X Our Lady of Hungary Church, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown will have a Night at the Races on May 17 in the church hall. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the post time will be 6 p.m. Admission is $5; no one under 18 will be admitted. There will also be Maverick, 50/50 raffle and free refreshments.

X Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., will have its Spring Trash and Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

XChurch Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, Liberty Township, will sponsor a gently used sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

X Concordia Lutheran Church, 125 N. Brockway, Youngstown, will have a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Sloppy Joes, hot dogs, pizza, coffee and cola will be available for sale. Bag day will be at 1 p.m.

X Girard Historical Society will have a trash and treasure sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Thursday until May 11 at 106 N. State St., Girard.

X Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Youngstown, will have its annual garage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Bargains on clothing and all types of household items will be offered. Food and beverages will also be available.

X Guilford Lake Ruritan, state Route 172 at Hanna Drive, will have an indoor/outdoor flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

X Instead of its usual spring rummage sale, Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will have a Treasures & More indoor-outdoor flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. The sale will feature antiques, collectibles, furniture, household items, a bake sale and more. Food will be available all day. The rummage sale will resume in November.

XSt. Luke Episcopal Church, 348 Robbins Ave., Niles, will have a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, items will be $2 a bag from 9 to 11 a.m. For more information, call the church, (330) 652-2952.

X St. Mary and St. Joseph Church, 131 W. Quarry St., Newton Falls, will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3. Vendors can rent indoor space for $10 or outdoor space (bring tables) for $5. X Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St., is accepting reservations at (330) 332-5512 for rental space for its indoor yard sale on May 17. Sale hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Available will be an 8-foot space (with or without table) with chairs for $6.

X Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

XYork Drexler VFW Post 5532, 575 S. Countyline Road, Washingtonville, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. X Youngstown Mothers of Twins will have its first annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at First Covenant Church, 5210 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. A portion of the proceeds will benefit community service activities.
