Canfield Fair floral brochures available through Thursday

CANFIELD — The Floral Department of Canfield Fair is moving.

It will be in the Expo Building 44, the former arts and crafts building. This move will allow a new category, container plants, to be added. Entry dates and rules for entering all categories, including juniors, remain the same.

The move will give the Fine Arts Department more room in Building 2. The “En Plein Air” (open fair air) category and the Amateur Shutter Bug contest will be offered again this year.

Two new categories have been added: “Rooster at Large” will encourage larger free-standing sculptural pieces and in the photography class, “Mahoning County Highlights,” which should reflect scenes in Mahoning County.

Senior citizens and special-needs adults and youth have new categories in both fine arts and photography.

Those who entered in 2007 will automatically receive the fine arts and/or floral brochure. New exhibitors may call the Canfield Fair at (330) 533-4107 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday no later than Thursday 1 to get the brochures.
