Zedakers mark 50th anniversary during reception


X HUBBARD — Family members and friends gathered at the gymnasium of Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church on Feb. 16 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Zedaker of Hubbard on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. A Hawaiian theme was created for the celebration, which included music, dancing and refreshments.

Hosts were their family, Raymond E. and Tamara Zedaker of Hubbard, Leonard and Nancy Zedaker of Hubbard, Sue and Sam Savon of Boardman, Diane and Daryl Wolfe of Mineral Ridge, and Eric and April Zedaker of Kinsman. Completing the family circle are 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The couple also celebrated their anniversary by leaving on March 8 for a 10-day cruise around the Hawaiian islands.

The former Lillian Bloom and Mr. Zedaker were married Feb. 4, 1958, at the Brookfield home of his parents, Harry and Grace Zedaker.

Mr. Zedaker served with the U.S. Cavalry during the Korean War. Afterward he worked in receiving for McKelvey’s and retired from the J.B. Winkle Electric Co. in Youngstown.

Mrs. Zedaker was also employed by McKelvey’s in accounts payable.
