Super Bowl champs pick Manningham
Michigan wide receiver Mario Manningham was selected by the New York Giants with 95th overall pick of this weekend's NFL draft.
He was the 14th wide receiver taken and was the 32nd pick of the third round. He was projected as a first-round pick a few months ago, but a poor performance at the NFL combine and some other off-field issues contributed to the drop.
He was the third area player selected in the third round. Boardman High's John Greco went with the second pick of the third round, to the St. Louis Rams. Warren Harding's Antwaun Molden, a defensive back from Eastern Kentucky, was the 16th selection of the third round, No. 79 overall, by the Houston Texans.
