Steelers draft running back, receiver


PITTSBURGH — With the 23rd pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Illinois running back Rashard Mendenhall. Jones was the third running back taken in the first round. In the second round, the Steelers selected Texaswide receiver Limas Sweed. The picks are somewhat of a surprise since the Steelers (defending champions of the AFC North Division) have major woes with their offensive and defensive lines.
