AFL-CIO Labor Council announces election results

NILES — The following people have been elected to posts with the Mahoning/Trumbull AFL-CIO Labor Council: William Padisak, staff representative of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees, president; Gary Steinbeck, staff representative of the United Steelworkers of America, executive vice president; Larry Fauver of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 880, vice president; Mark Catello of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 573, vice president; Carl Dittmer, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3808, recording secretary; and JoAnn Johntony, OAPSE Local 425, financial secretary.

Boutique opens to serve women with mastectomies

WARREN — Lee Manios has opened Unique Boutique Mastectomy at 1154 E. Market St. The business is an expansion of Franklin Health Care and is designed for women in need of fittings for undergarments, bathing suits and skin care. Franklin Health Care operated inside Franklin Pharmacy until 1995 when it moved to the East Market Street location.

Howland outlet offers home improvement items

HOWLAND — Grossman’s Bargain Outlet has opened at 3808 Elm Road. The store is a discount retailer of home improvement products and building materials. The Massachusetts-based chain operates 53 stores in four states. The store has new inventory that arrives weekly, including doors, windows, kitchen and bath products, flooring and seasonal products.
