www.searchgodsword.org: This Bible study site is a division of Heartlight Ministries, a Texas-based group that has been providing Christian content online for more than a decade. Search God’s Word pulls together multiple resources for devotions or study: more than 20 searchable versions and translations of the Bible, daily devotions from writers including Oswald Chambers and Charles Spurgeon, and anecdotes and PowerPoint maps for sermons.

www.totallyjewishtravel.com: Looking for an exotic location for a bat or bar mitzvah? Interested in a kosher cruise? Wanting to observe Passover at a resort or beachside locale? This site offers plenty of resources for travelers who want to faithfully practice Judaism while away from home.

Users can find a synagogue for celebrations in Budapest; a Jewish singles cruise that hits Spain, Italy, Tunisia and Malta; a Passover safari in South Africa. There is a separate section for travel in Israel, with information on tours, attractions and housing. The site also includes city guides with listings of kosher hotels and restaurants, synagogues and community centers. The site relies on advertising, so it shouldn’t be viewed as an inclusive resource, but it’s a good place to begin when planning a kosher getaway.

www.ourprayer.org: The inspirational Guideposts magazine recently launched OurPrayer, an online community devoted to prayer and an extension of the publication’s long commitment to conversation and communion with God. Users can type a prayer on the home page, which will be shared with an OurPrayer volunteer. (Users can also request that the prayer be published on the Web site.) Click on “Inspiration” to read brief devotionals about lives transformed by prayer and on “Community” to begin conversations on topics including “When Bad Things Happen to Good People” and “Is God Listening?” Some of the site’s content requires a premium membership, which costs $15 a year.
