HARTFORD — Hartford Fire Association and Burghill Fire Department will have a pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the VFW Hall on Hartford Five Points Road. Cost is $6 for adults; seniors, $5; children 5 to 12, $4; and those 4 and under, free.

Evening of Indulgence promises to pamper

YOUNGSTOWN — Tippecanoe Country Club will be the setting for a women’s Evening of Indulgence from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. May 15.

The menu for the evening will coincide with five fashion trends: tart, salty, savory, sweet and bitter. A cash bar and conversation will be from 6:30 to 7:30; “Inspire Your Attire” fashion transformations and the five taste sensations will begin at 7:30; and shopping and Arbonne Spa will continue until 9:30.

Representatives from the Glitter Girls accessories boutique will show patrons how to restyle their spring wardrobes. Ensembles of jewelry, handbags, scarves and shawls will be available for purchase, and mini facials and hand massages will be provided.

Hat show and tea at Baptist Church

YOUNGSTOWN — The Alpha and Omega First Baptist Church, 3120 Winton Ave., is sponsoring a Mother’s Day hat show and tea extravaganza that will be begin at 1 p.m. May 10 at the church.

Featured will be fashions from Levi’s World of Fashion in Akron.

Salem Park to host arts and crafts event

SALEM — Salem Memorial Building has scheduled its “Arts and Crafts in the Park” for June 28 at Centennial Park, one block south of East State Street.

Vendors will display and sell arts, crafts and food from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there will be a Chinese auction.

A 20-by-20-foot space can be rented for $25. Vendors interested in participating in the event are asked to call (330) 332-5512.
