April 22
Theft: An East Broadway Avenue man realized someone had entered his company-owned vehicle and took $7,000.
Menacing: An Ella Street woman and her son told police two brothers threatened to beat up the son they accused of stealing an MP3 player.
Damage: A South State Street man reported a small truck ran over and destroyed a planter box and tore up a section of pavement.
Theft: An East Broadway Avenue man went to retrieve his vehicle at a towing yard and discovered a wristwatch, eight compact discs, a jacket and prescription medications had been stolen.
April 23
Aggravated menacing: A woman found a note next to a door to her South Davis Street home in which the writer threatened to kill her within a few days.
LIBERTY
April 19
Stolen property: A driver led Liberty police on a vehicle chase in a 1990 Buick later determined to have been stolen in Niles.
Breaking and entering: A Logan Way man found that someone had entered his residence via a rear window before taking a hand-held computer information device and a small cassette player from an office.
Fraud: A Goldie Road man was informed while trying to take out a loan that he had defaulted on a $13,000 student-loan payment that he never co-signed.
Assault: A Goldie Road woman’s daughter, 14, had a minor injury after having been assaulted near North Gate Road.
Criminal damaging: Two people alleged a 43-year-old Youngstown man used the handle of a hammer to scratch their vehicle’s passenger side in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue.
Theft: A worker with a McDonald’s restaurant, 3630 Belmont Ave., reported a missing bank deposit.
April 20
Aggravated menacing: A North Gate Road man alleged a neighbor came toward him waving a knife, the result of an argument about music the accuser played.
Arrest: While responding to a disturbance on Hadley Avenue, authorities took into custody a 26-year-old Burghill man wanted on a warrant from Mercer County, Pa., charging him with probation violation.
April 21
Criminal damaging: A Hubbard Road man saw that someone destroyed a side window to his truck, resulting in a $250 damage estimate.
Burglary: A Will-o-Wood Drive woman noticed someone had entered her home, apparently through a patio door, and took a sump pump, cooper pipes and covers to four hot-water heating coils. The loss came to $1,210.
Theft: A man pumped an extra $18.72 worth of gasoline and left a BP station, 2703 Belmont Ave., without paying.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Sampson Road woman said her 40-year-old boyfriend failed to return her 1997 Mercury Villager at an agreed-upon time.
Criminal damaging: Two Youngstown boys, 13 and 16, and a 14-year-old Niles boy were charged with being unruly juveniles, criminal damaging and obstructing official business after officers got a call about three youngsters breaking a window to an East Liberty Street residence. Two of the teens also provided false names, the report showed.
April 22
Robbery: A gunman with a black hoodie over his head robbed a worker with Midas Auto Service Experts, 2800 Belmont Ave., and stole his vehicle.
Recovered property: A 1995 Oldsmobile vehicle stolen in Youngstown was discovered in the 2800 block of Belmont Avenue with its steering column damaged.
Recovered property: Officers found in the 200 block of Colonial Drive a stolen 1998 Chevrolet vehicle thought to have been used by a robbery suspect.
Breaking and entering: Someone kicked in a garage door to enter a Logan Way residence and remove $10,000 worth of copper piping.
Theft: A student at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, reported a $400 cell phone missing from his gym locker.
Possible breaking and entering: A woman told police that when she confronted a man about break-ins at Marla Lane apartments, he admitted the crimes; police said the man also admitted stealing property.

April 19
Criminal mischief: Someone in the 80 block of Forest Hill Drive used shaving cream to write a message on the road.
Recovered property: A stolen truck was found in the 1900 block of West Park Avenue.
Burglary: A man who owns a vacant home in the 300 block of Jackson Street noticed a break-in and copper pipes missing.

Theft: A Saul Drive man reported the theft of medications.
Theft: A man reported his mother’s purse missing from their Parish Avenue home.
Burglary: An East Liberty Street woman discovered a break-in as she came home.
April 21
Theft: A School Street man discovered money missing from his checking account.
Drugs: The Hubbard mayor’s court issued a warrant for the arrest of a Hubbard man on a charge of failure to appear in court on one count of possession of marijuana.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 1000 block of Myron Street called police after someone drove on and damaged part of a nearby field.
