Burner fire on asphalt tanker causes spill
MESOPOTAMIA — Trumbull County 911 reported that five fire departments and the Trumbull County HazMat Team responded at 5:30 p.m. Thursday to a burner fire on an asphalt tanker at Allied Corp., 10099 state Route 534.
There also was a spill of 275 gallons of diesel fuel and two 55-gallon drums of hydraulic oil.
Mesopotamia, West Farmington, North Bloomfield, Windsor and Middlefield townships’ fire departments responded. The incident was contained by 8:20 p.m. No cause has been determined.
No one was injured or had to be evacuated.
