April 18

Theft: A worker for D S Paints, 5062 Youngstown-Poland Road, discovered an air-conditioning unit stolen.

Breaking and entering: A woman reported two concrete statues, a grill and an antique stove stolen after someone entered her garage and yard at her Sylvia Lane residence.

Menacing: An employee with a Boardman-Poland Road business told officers a disgruntled customer made threatening remarks over the phone.

Misuse of a credit card: A Garden Grove, Calif., woman found out someone used her credit card without consent to buy $150 of merchandise at a Boardman-Poland Road store.

Citation: Police cited a Youngstown woman, 23, after a dispute with another woman over a parking space at the Southern Park Mall. The Youngstown woman continued to scream and make threats despite having been told to desist, the report said.

Assault: A traffic stop on South Avenue led to a 37-year-old Youngstown man’s being taken into custody when police learned he was wanted on an assault charge.

Theft: A Red Tail Hawk Drive man’s wallet was removed from his truck.

Theft: A 28-year-old Youngstown woman faced charges of theft and obstructing official business after two tank tops and a skirt were taken from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. She also was wanted on warrants charging her with probation violation.

Drugs: Officers responded to a suicidal female at a Tippecanoe Drive home and found in the kitchen a piece of paper containing suspected heroin she may have been intending to ingest.

Arrest: A Youngstown woman, 35, who was pulled over on Market Street was charged with obstructing official business when, police said, she lied about her identity to avoid being arrested on a warrant.

Theft: Two East Liverpool girls, 16 and 17, were charged with theft and receiving stolen property after $96 worth of merchandise was stolen from Macy’s, and after police said they discovered additional property that had been taken from the J.C. Penney store.

Assault: A 50-year-old Boardman woman faced charges of assault and theft after her boyfriend alleged the woman stole $575 from his wallet and scratched the accuser when he confronted her about the missing money.

Burglary: Someone broke into a Centervale Avenue residence via a side door and removed $5,000, an XBox game and a $2,000 plasma TV.

April 20

Counterfeit: Authorities arrested a 28-year-old Cortland man on a criminal-simulation charge. He was accused of possessing and passing counterfeit $20 bills at the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A man took a $35 DVD player from Toys “R” Us, 317 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A New Middletown woman’s purse was stolen while she patronized an East Midlothian Boulevard store.

Theft: Police arrested a Youngstown man, 19, on a theft charge after $97 worth of DVDs was stolen from Wal-Mart.

Criminal damaging: A Havenwood Drive man found damage to seven landscaping lights, as well as glass.

Criminal damaging: A Mapleridge Drive man reported damage to a lamppost.

Burglary/damage: Someone entered an apartment in the 800 block of Moyer Avenue through a second-floor window, and the occupant’s vehicle had damage to two tires.

Drugs: After pulling over a driver on Glenwood Avenue, authorities charged a 57-year-old Boardman man with drug abuse (crack cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. A rock of suspected crack cocaine was found, as was a suspected crack pipe, police said.

April 21

Assault: A Youngstown woman reported being slapped in the face and having her hair pulled while at a Boardman-Canfield Road eatery.

Aggravated menacing: A Canfield man at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant alleged his son-in-law threatened to use a knife to decapitate the accuser during an argument about a milkshake.

Criminal damaging: A 69-year-old Eisenhower Drive man was charged after a tenant who lives below the man complained of water flooding his residence. The man used numerous items to stop up his toilet, causing water to leak through the floor, police said.

Stolen property: A Boardman man, 33, surrendered to police on a felony charge of receiving stolen property. A van stolen from a Bucyrus, Ohio, company was found in a wooded area near Lockwood Boulevard, the report showed.

Theft: A 19-year-old Youngstown man was charged after a $78.50 sweat shirt was stolen from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Bad checks: A vehicle registration check in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road resulted in the arrest of a Boardman man, 22, wanted on a warrant from Beaver Township charging him with passing bad checks.

Fraud: A Homestead Drive woman reviewing her bank statement found that someone made $547.69 worth of charges in France with her information.

Domestic violence: Police signed a domestic-violence charge against a man, no information given, after a Stratmore Avenue woman reported that during an argument she was punched in the eye, which caused redness and swelling.

Theft: A woman’s purse and cell phone were stolen at a Southern Park Mall restaurant.

Criminal damaging: A woman left a Doral Drive business and found scratches and a dent on her vehicle’s passenger side.

Theft: A Mathews Road woman reported two $250 gold bracelets stolen.

Breaking and entering: Someone pushed open a garage door to a Maple Drive home and removed a $90 electric hedge trimmer.
