Some facts about long-missing Ohio soldier and his funeral:

Matt Maupin was a 20-year-old private first class when he was captured April 9, 2004, when his fuel convoy was attacked by insurgents in Iraq.

His remains were found last month northwest of Baghdad, based on tips from local residents, about 12 miles from the site of the ambush.

The Army used DNA tests to positively identify the remains.

Maupin’s remains are to arrive in Cincinnati from Dover Air Force Base on Saturday morning, with visitation at Union Township Civic Center in Clermont County overnight.

The funeral Sunday will be at 1 p.m. at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, followed by a private burial.
