Three parking meters stolen downtown

YOUNGSTOWN — Three parking meters were stolen between Walnut and Champion streets downtown.

Ampco System Parking supervisor Dan Strong said several of his employees were out collecting coins around 10 a.m. Tuesday when they discovered the missing meters. The meter poles had been cut about three inches of the ground and taken along with the meters themselves. The report didn’t say how the poles had been cut.
