Indians, Royals rained out

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Wednesday’s game between the Indians and Royals was rained out and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday at 6:10.

Fausto Carmona (2-1, 1.96 ERA) will start against Brett Tomko (1-2, 3.60) in Game 1. The nightcap will see Cliff Lee (3-0, 0.40) starting against Brian Bannister (3-1, 2.42).

Both games will be televised by SportsTime Ohio.

Cleveland’s starting pitching rotation will remain the same through the weekend, but the starter for Monday has yet to be determined. Carmona, Monday’s scheduled starter, would be working on three days of rest.
