CANFIELD

April 9

Telecommunications harassment: A woman from the 400 block of S. Hillside Drive complained that she had been receiving phone calls to her home three to four times a day at all hours, in which the caller would hang up each time she answered.

April 11

Theft: A vehicle was broken into at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, and a car stereo amplifier was stolen.

April 13

Burglary: A home in the 50 block of Hood Drive was broken into and taken were a recording microphone and cord and a jar containing approximately $75.

April 15

Disturbance: Police arrested a 52-year-old Canfield man on charges of vandalism, disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and criminal mischief. The man had to be Tasered twice before police could get him under control.

April 17

Drug possession: Police arrested an 18-year-old student from Sebring on charges of drug possession after he was found to have hydrocodone pills on him at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

April 14

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

Burglary: $150 in cash was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A man was arrested on theft charges at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Telephone harassment: Calls from an unidentified female were received at a home in the 100 block of Westminister Ave.

Theft: A Blue Quest mountain bike was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Theft: A Compaq computer was taken at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

April 15

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were reportedly made to a homeowner in the 5000 block of E. Radio Road.

Theft: A cell phone was stolen from Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested at N. Navarre Avenue at Mahoning Avenue on charges of possession of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia drug abuse and possession of rolling papers.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made to the delivery man at Lucianno’s Caf , 1732 S. Raccoon Road.

April 16

Breaking and entering: Crystal Vase, 5805 Mahoning Ave. was broken into.

Theft: Cash was stolen at a home in the 40 block of N. Navarre Ave.

Drug offense: Marijuana was found in a FedEx box at Send It Packin’ Plus, 4496 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: An Austintown man was issued a summons on a charge of possession of marijuana in the 200 block of N. Raccoon Road.

April 17

Stolen plates: 28 dealer plates were reported stolen at Greenwood Chevrolet, 4695 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $77 in cash was stolen from the drive-through register at Taco Bell, 850 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Forgery: An attempt to cash a stolen check was reported at First Place Bank, 101 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Wal-Mart.

Missing wallet: A wallet and its contents were reported missing at Sun Merchant, 3605 Mahoning Ave.

Missing plate: A license plate was reported lost or stolen at Bob and Chuck Eddy’s, 4850 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A woman from Geneva was turned over to the Mahoning County Sheriff on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of passing bad checks after she was arrested on a theft charge at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave. Police said she stole a $7.99 bottle of eye cleaner.

Theft: A compact disc player was taken from an auto in the 100 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Theft: A 1986 Kawasaki dirt bike was taken from a home in the 400 block of Westgate Boulevard.

April 18

Burglary: A 2001 Mercury Sable was stolen from a garage at a home in the 500 block of Western Place.

Theft: An AM/FM compact in-dash disc player was stolen from an auto at a home in the 200 block of S. Navarre Avenue.

Theft: A blue duffel bag was stolen from an auto at Giant Eagle and later found empty at Arby’s Restaurant at state Route 46 and Interstate 80. Taken were numerous prescription medications.

April 19

Auto theft: A 1990 Buick LeSabre was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: A green boys’ bicycle was stolen from a home in the 20 block of Wicklliffe Circle.

Fraud: An account was opened at Sam’s Club in the victim’s name at a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Drive.

Violation of protection order: A 36-year-old woman was accused at a home in the 6000 block of Slippery Rock Drive.

Theft: A compact disc player was stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.

Theft: Clothing was stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.

Unauthorized use: A 2007 Pontiac was used without permission at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Drug offense: Two men from Austintown were issued summonses for possession of marijuana at Orkney and Burkey roads.

Criminal damaging: A suspect broke a small window at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

Theft: Three watches were stolen from Wal-Mart by a McDonald man who was also arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found heroin.

Criminal damaging: A garage was sprayed with graffiti in the 1000 block of Mulberry Run.

Drug offense: a Youngstown woman was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana at Burkey Road and Western Place.
