Patrol seeks information about accident

POLAND — The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canfield Post is seeking information regarding a car involved in a Friday afternoon accident with a motorcycle.

The patrol said that a motorcyclist, whose name was available Sunday, was traveling westbound on U.S. Route 224 in the township about 4 p.m. Friday when he lost control, was ejected from the bike and struck the rear of a vehicle that was stopped in traffic.

The vehicle, a light-colored Buick passenger car, continued westbound on Route 224 after the accident.

The car may have had a Pennsylvania license plate, the patrol said.

The motorcyclist was in intensive care at St. Elizabeth Health Center, the patrol said.

Anyone with information about the Buick is asked to call the patrol at (330) 533-6866.
