Night at the races and sales


Our Lady of Hungary Church, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., will sponsor a Night at the Races on May 17 at the church hall. Doors open at 5 p.m. and post time will be 6 p.m. Also available will be Maverick, a 50-50 raffle and free food. The donation for the evening is $5. No one under 18 will be admitted.

Columbiana First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., is having a Trash & Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, which is bag day. Everything will be $3 a bag or 2 bags for $5.

Both days include a bake sale, hot meatball sub sale and chili sale.

Items for sale will include housewares, home decor, clothing, linens and bedding, books and toys. For more information call (330) 482-2666.

First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, is sponsoring a sidewalk sale from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. On Saturday, all you can put into a brown grocery bag will cost $1.

The Poland Junior Women’s Club is hosting a Trash and Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine, at the Prince of Peace Church pavilion, state Route 224 in Poland. Items include household goods, toys, clothing and furniture. All proceeds go to charity.

Zion Hill Church, 14550 New Buffalo Road, Columbiana, will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds will be used for children attending Inspiration Hills Camp this year.
