Fire damages vacant house in Youngstown


YOUNGSTOWN — Fire damaged a vacant house at 3006 Jean St. late Sunday night that already had its plumbing stripped, the fire department said. Firefighters sent to the burning structure on the South Side at 10:55 p.m. found the front door locked and the back door open with fire burning from the basement through the kitchen floor. Damage was set at $5,000 and the cause is under investigation.
