Col. Walter M. Duzzny, Air Reserve (retired) has been elected president of the Reserve Officers Association Mahoning Chapter 42. Other 2008-09 officers are: Col. Willard Stamp, Air Reserve (retired), vice president; Lt. Col. Paul Stepuk, Air Reserve National Guard (retired), treasurer; and Chief Warrant Officer William Meshot, Air Reserve (retired), secretary.
Decorating graves
YOUNGSTOWN — The grave decoration committee of the Mahoning County United Veterans Council will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission, 2801 Market St. Flags will be issued and applications for Memorial Day expenses will be available. The meeting is for all veterans organizations.
Marino to speak
AUSTINTOWN — The United Veterans Council of Greater Youngstown will meet at American Legion Post 301, 3652 Oakwood Ave., at 7 p.m. Monday. The speaker is John Marino, who will talk about employer support of Guard and Reserve members.

Air Force Reserve Airman Devin M. Hughes has graduated from the Communications-Computer Systems Operations Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Hughes is the son of David and Cathy Hughes of Cortland and is a 2003 graduate of Lakeview High School, Cortland.
