Historical society sets dinner meeting

NILES — Niles Historical Society will have its annual dinner meeting at 6 p.m. April 30 at Ciminero’s downtown.
The speaker will be David Fleming, senior writer for ESPN Magazine, who will talk about the history of football and his book, “Breaker Boys: The NFL’s Greatest Team and the Stolen 1925 Championship.”
Brothers Herb and Russ Stein, who grew up in Niles and attended Niles High School, were part of that championship team, the Pottsville (Pa.) Maroons. Members of the Stein family are expected to attend.
Reservations for the $20 Swiss steak dinner must be made by Saturday.

Proceeds will go toward upkeep of the museum.
