Dinner party honors Gentiles’ 60th anniversary


X STRUTHERS — Pat and Marian “Honey” Gentile, 199 Renee Drive, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary April 17 at a dinner party hosted by their children at the MVR in Youngstown.

The couple’s children are Pat and Denise Gentile of New Middletown; Michael Gentile of Lowellville; Mimi and Pat Patterson of Fresno, Calif.; and Laraine and Gary Solvesky of Poland. A daughter-in-law, Rochelle Gentile, is deceased. The family also includes 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pat Gentile and the former Marian Caggiano were married April 17, 1948, at St. Lucy Church in Campbell.

Mrs. Gentile retired from St. Elizabeth Health Center in 2006 as a NICU nurse. She belongs to Catholic Nurses and Italian Mothers Club.

Mr. Gentile retired in 1990 as a carpenter after working for Bertram Builders in Youngstown and other area construction companies. He is a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy and Seabees in Japan and Okinawa.

The couple are members of St. Nicholas Church.

Two other generations of Gentiles celebrated their anniversaries April 17: Pat Gentile, the couple’s son, and his wife, Denise; and grandson Matthew and his wife, Kristy.
