VILLA MARIA, Pa. — “Body, Mind Synchronization: An Amazing Way to De-Stress,” another in the Global Meditation Series, is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3 at Villa Maria Spirituality and Education Center. Rose Marie Fantelli, a professional clinical counselor, energy practitioner and mind-body coach, will lead the program. Cost is $40 and includes lunch. Registration is due Tuesday. Flame Fellowship

BOARDMAN — Greater Youngstown Chapter of Flame Fellowship, an interdenominational ministry, will meet Monday at Boardman Community Center in Boardman Township Park. Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the ministry at 7. Guest speaker will be Pastor Cindy McGough, founder of Victorious Sisters, a nondenominational women’s group.

Sacred dance workshop

RAVENNA — A sacred dance workshop is planned next week at Firm Foundation Ministry, 241 Jefferson St. Open sessions will be at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and workshop sessions at 10 a.m. Friday and April 26. Dr. Pamela Hardy, founder of Set Free Evangelistic Ministries, will lead the dance ministry program. Registration is $20. Spring conference

YOUNGSTOWN — The Christian Education Ministry of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 Himrod Ave., will sponsor a spring conference, “A Time of Refreshing,” from Wednesday through Friday. Speaker will be Pastor Everett Jennings of New Life Cathedral, Chicago; lecturer will be Elder Darren Thomas of Calvary Ministries International; and the psalmist, Elder J. Luke Shumpert, Jacksonville, Fla. Programs will begin at 6 p.m. with worship at 7.

First Friday Club

BOARDMAN — The First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown will meet May 1 at Antone’s Banquet Centre, Market Street. Featured speaker will be Dr. Joanne Buckman, whose topic will be “Faith and Ecology: Some Connections.” She is director of Crowne Pointe Ecology Center in Bath. YOUNGSTOWN — “The Women Who Stayed,” a women’s retreat sponsored by St. Matthias and Holy Name churches, has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26 at St. Maron Maronite Church, 1555 S. Speaker planned

YOUNGSTOWN — Sister Mary McCormick of Ohio State University will speak on “The Mystery of God and the Mystery of Suffering,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the social hall.

Theology prof to speak

YOUNGSTOWN — Dr. Scott Hahn, a professor of theology and scripture at Franciscan University of Steubenville, will speak on the topic, “First Comes Love,” from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel. Sponsors are St. Anthony, St. Edward, Holy Name, Immaculate Conception, St. Matthias and Our Lady of Mount Carmel churches. Hahn will discuss Catholic thought about the Trinity.

Church health forum

YOUNGSTOWN — Union Baptist Church core team ministry and the Janie Wright Mission, 528 Lincoln Ave., will sponsor a church health forum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday. Among presenters will be Dr. Rodney Hill of Associates in Women’s Health of the Mahoning Valley Inc.; Felicia Alexander of Youngstown Health Department; Katrina Walker of Hospice of the Valley; and Janet Shoemaker and Mike Senchak, both of Mahoning Valley Hospital. Deborah Johnson is core team leader and Carol Herian, Janie Wright mission leader.

Gospel concert

NORTH LIMA — The Gospel Echoes will appear at 6 p.m. April 27 at North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, where they will perform and offer a presentation on their prison ministry. The group, based on Goshen, Ind., travel around the country and visit prisons.

YOUNGSTOWN — Next week, Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird St., will observe Great Thursday with a vigil and 12 Passion Gospels at 7 p.m.; Great Friday with vespers with the placing of the Holy Shroud in the tomb at 7 p.m.; April 26, Great Saturday, Easter Matins with procession around church at 11 p.m.; and April 27, Pascha, Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m.
