Mother-daughter dinner planned

YOUNGSTOWN — Women of the area are invited to a mother and daughter dinner at 6 p.m. May 9 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive. The meal will feature chicken divan, rice, mandarin orange salad, rolls, beverage and cake.

The speaker for the evening will be Shirley L. Griffin, whose theme will be “Pack Your Suitcase! We’re Going on a Trip: Traveling 100 Years Ago.” Music will be provided by Olivia DiMartino, a student at Canfield Middle School. Advance reservations are required .

Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 4 to 10, and free for those under 3. They can be purchased after worship on April 27 and May 4, or reserved by calling the church office (330) 788-8707.
