Dublin Grange plans recognition event

CANFIELD — In recognition of National Grange Week, Dublin Grange is inviting the public to its 7 p.m. meeting Tuesday at the Grange Hall on Fairground Boulevard at state Route 224, where Bev Fisher, general manager of the Canfield Fair, and long-term grange members will be honored. Zella Baker will preside.

Door prizes and lunch will conclude the program.

Fisher, who has received numerous awards for her ideas and innovations at the fair, will be honored as Community Citizen of the Year, for her outstanding service to the community. Also honored for their years of service to the grange will be Michelle Combis, 20 ; Paul Corll, 25; Wayne Reel, 40; Gary Reel, 45; Vada Reel, 57; Vera Brown, 58; Marian Manchester, 59; Esther Snyder, 62; Paul Manchester, 67; Jack Mauch, 67; and Glenn Hedge, 71. Past masters of the grange will also receive special recognition.

Dublin Grange has been in the Canfield area since 1894. Its purpose is to provide social, educational, and legislative service to families. For additional information contact Baker at (330) 549-5112.

The Imperials to perform

AUSTINTOWN — Highway Tabernacle Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, will host The Imperials Gospel Quartet at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 27. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken.

Women Voters schedule dinner, auction, meeting

YOUNGSTOWN — The League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown will hold its 75th annual meeting April 28 at the Gathering Room of Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave. Donated items for the silent auction should be at the site by 5 p.m. Dinner will begin at 5:45 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6:30.

Kids to benefit for Bowl-A-Thon

BOARDMAN — Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley has scheduled an annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake Bowl-A-Thon from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be provided by area restaurants.

More that 200 have signed up to participate in the event, and those accumulating the most pledges will be eligible to win one of the 100 door prizes or six grand prizes that will be awarded. For additional information contact (330) 545-0002.

Dinner and dance to be at Avon Oaks

NILES — The USA Dance, Warren Chapter, will celebrate its accomplishment during a dinner and dance to be held from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. May 3 at the Avon Oaks Ballroom. 1401 N. State St.
