HUBBARD

April 11

Citation: After stopping a man on Caroline Drive, officers cited him on charges of driving under suspension and obstructing official business.

Drugs: Struthers police picked up a Hubbard man after the Girard Municipal Court had issued a warrant from the city for his arrest on a charge of illegal manufacturing of drugs.

April 12

Aggravated menacing: A Saul Drive woman reported a Hubbard woman threatened her and her daughter.

April 13

Possible criminal damaging: Police received a 911 call regarding possible vehicle damage in the 100 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road.

Arrests: Authorities arrested a Hubbard man on a charge of being a fugitive from justice, as well as a woman on one count of obstructing official business after responding to a possible theft in the 200 block of East Liberty Street. Two cable TV boxes had been tampered with, police said.

Theft: A man reported furnishings stolen from a vacant piece of rental property he owns in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.

Possible assault: A Chestnut Ridge Drive woman told police her son, 10, was the victim of a possible assault while at Roosevelt Elementary School, 110 Orchard Ave.

Truck theft: A Hubbard man reported his 2000 GMC truck stolen while at a West Liberty Street business.

Assault: A woman told officers another woman pushed the accuser as she tried to remove items from an apartment in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.

Vandalism: A Clingan Street woman reported two females knocked over tombstones in a cemetery off Tylee Lame.

Criminal damaging: Someone used a pipe to smash the windshield of a dump truck belonging to Hubbard Coal Supply, 828 N. Main St.

LIBERTY

April 10

Theft: A man stole a $150 satellite radio from Radio Shack, 3551 Belmont Ave.

Theft by deception: A worker for Ianazone’s Pizza, 4036 Belmont Ave., told police a Pittsburgh man, 47, sold advertisements later found to be bogus to the business. He had claimed they were to appear in rooms at a nearby motel, but it was found that the man had no involvement with the motel.

Misuse of a credit card: A Mansell Drive man lost his credit/debit card and learned that someone used it to remove more than $1,200 from his account.

Assault: A Youngstown woman had bruises and possible bite marks on her back after saying a man, 27, assaulted her at a Motor Inn Drive motel.

Theft: A worker for Big Lots, 3491 Belmont Ave., reported a 45-year-old man rented but failed to return a $1,200 carpet cleaning machine.

Drugs: A 23-year-old North Olmsted, Ohio, man was arrested during a traffic stop on state Route 193 after police said they found roughly 0.02 ounce of suspected marijuana. He was charged with possession of the drug.

Theft: A charge was pending against a Youngstown man in his 40s after a worker for Dollar General, 4425 Logan Way, accused him of stealing two packs of razor blades.

Theft: The owner of a salvage yard on Youngstown-Hubbard Road reported someone trespassed and stole scrap.

Arrest: U.S. marshals picked up a 30-year-old Youngstown man wanted in the township on charges of disorderly conduct and aggravated trespassing.

April 12

Domestic violence: A 37-year-old township man was taken into custody at his residence on a felony charge after his 84-year-old father alleged the man shoved him to the ground in an effort to take money from the father’s pocket.

Drug paraphernalia: A Youngstown man, 25, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a vehicular accident near Gypsy Lane and said they found in the car suspected cocaine and wire mesh used for drug-related purposes.

April 13

Weapon: A Youngstown man, 20, faced a felony count of receiving stolen property and misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm in a prohibited area after police responded to a report of shots fired from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Michigan Avenue. The loaded 9 mm handgun found had been stolen in Youngstown, the report said.

Theft/trespassing: A Lucretia Drive man reported a man in his 30s claiming to need money for gasoline entered his residence without permission and that, fearing for his safety, he handed the man $50.

Criminal damaging: A Kettering, Ohio, man at a Belmont Avenue motel found out someone broke the rear windshield to his vehicle, causing $200 in damage.

Aggravated menacing: A Trumbull Court woman accused a Youngstown woman, age 36 or 37, of threatening her in a phone call.

Theft: A Roosevelt Drive man reported the theft of a man’s gold wedding band from his vehicle.

GIRARD

April 14

Criminal mischief: A Mohican Drive man who mounted a camera to his garage said it showed a neighbor tossing eggs and other objects at his home and garage on several occasions.

Menacing: A Park Avenue woman alleged her former boyfriend, a 39-year-old man, threatened to harm her after he was arrested when he went to her workplace uninvited.

Arrest: A 45-year-old Wellman Avenue man was charged with disorderly conduct after his wife alleged he was intoxicated and wanted him removed. The man acted erratically after being arrested and had caused disruption in the home, the report said.

Identity fraud: An elderly Church Hill Road man called police after receiving a credit bill from a finance company for $919.47 that he never charged.

Theft: A man realized someone entered rental property he owns in the 900 block of Washington Avenue and took copper plumbing from the basement.

Breaking and entering: A man who owns property on Cherry Street discovered a break-in through the front door.

April 15

Criminal mischief: A student at Girard High School, 31 N. Ward Ave., reported damage to his vehicle’s quarter panel as well as a 4-inch mark from a key or similar object.

Menacing: A Washington Avenue man alleged a Girard man, 28, deliberately backed into his driveway and tried to strike him with a truck while threatening him.

Criminal trespassing: Officers arrested a 42-year-old Girard man on a charge of criminal trespassing, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, after saying they tried to stop him on an all-terrain vehicle near North State Street. The ATV and cruiser collided, though no apparent damage or injuries resulted.
