April 11
Arrest: A 25-year-old Boardman man surrendered to police on charges of criminal damaging and possession of drugs. In March, an employee with a U.S. Route 224 restaurant alleged the man kicked and broke a co-worker’s vehicle’s taillight, and police later said he had two suspected marijuana pipes.
Robbery: A Poland woman and her juvenile son told authorities two people in a Jeep robbed the boy of his cell phone as he walked on Southern Boulevard on his way home.
Domestic violence: A Boardman man, 31, was arrested at his home and charged after his wife alleged the man punched her in the back during an argument. She was not injured, however.
Drug paraphernalia: A traffic stop in the 5900 block of Market Street resulted in the arrest of a Boardman man, 22, on a warrant charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Domestic violence: A 37-year-old Youngstown man was apprehended on Market Street and charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest after his former girlfriend alleged he threatened to kill her and burn down her home during an argument nearby. Police also said the man led them on a brief foot pursuit.
Theft: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after a $90 sweat shirt was stolen from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A motorist pumped and failed to pay for $27.50 worth of gasoline before leaving a Shell True North station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown boy was charged, accused of stealing $71 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Citation: A Boardman man, 23, was cited near Glenwood Avenue after police said he had suspected marijuana in his car.
Theft: Officers booked a 26-year-old Boardman man at the Mahoning County Jail on a felony theft count. Earlier, a $560 desktop personal computer was stolen from Office Max, 427 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal mischief: A Glenwood Avenue man saw that someone had used a wooden fence post to strike and damage a window shutter.
Drugs: After finding a driver asleep in his car on state Route 7, authorities charged the motorist, a 20-year-old Boardman man, with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia as well as operating a vehicle impaired. Two small bags of suspected marijuana and suspected marijuana seeds were found, police said.
April 12
Theft: A worker for a Windham Court restaurant discovered a deposit containing an undisclosed amount of money was missing.
Theft: A Boardman man’s wallet was stolen as he shopped at an East Midlothian Boulevard store.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her wallet stolen while at a Doral Drive business.
Theft: A man in a white vehicle pumped $20 worth of gasoline and left a BP station, 310 Boardman-Canfield Road, without paying.
Theft: A validation sticker was removed from a car in the 6300 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A temporary tag was stolen off a vehicle on Melrose Avenue.
Theft: A man reported the theft of coins, a set of golf clubs and a pair of glasses from his car at his Red Tail Hawk Drive apartment.
Citation: A Boardman man, 49, was cited near Mathews and Sheridan roads after police said he was intoxicated in a public place and walking in the roadway.
Vandalism: Five vehicles sustained damage at Rick Bayus Motors, 5206 Youngstown-Poland Road, including broken windshields and damaged body panels.
April 13
Domestic violence: Youngstown police handed a 24-year-old Youngstown man to Boardman authorities on Market Street. He was wanted on a warrant charging him with the crime after an employee of a Market Street eatery alleged he slapped her during an argument.
Theft: A worker with Petland, 7338 Market St., told police three people were part of a theft of a $5,000 dog.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 25, and a 29-year-old Campbell woman were charged, accused in the theft of $75 worth of compact discs, DVDs and clothing from Wal-Mart.
Theft: An employee with a Southern Park Mall store discovered a credit card and a debit card missing from her purse.
Theft: A Struthers man performing work to the garage of a home in the 2000 block of Brandon Avenue reported a $200 air compressor stolen.

Theft: A 51-year-old Wal-Mart employee was charged after a co-worker accused the man of taking two items from the store and returning them for money.
