Boys and Girls Club

The club was formed in 1969 and serves some 1,700 young people annually, with about 90 percent of them from Youngstown’s East and South sides. It also has members from the Boardman and Warren areas. Other ongoing activities:

The club has initiated “psycho-educational” groups, providing its members with help with issues such as anger management, decision making, diversity, values and self-concept.

The club offers daily access to programs in five core areas: education and career development, character and leadership development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports, fitness and recreation.
