Youngstown Christian 12, East 9

YOUNGSTOWN — Sara Bell hit a triple and two doubles while Caitlyn Vestal and Katie Hartlean each had two singles to lead Youngstown Christian (2-7) at Volney Rogers. Cecily Sandy (2-5) pitched a seven-hitter for Youngstown Christian, which built a 10-0 lead after two innings. She is now 2-5.

Canfield 16, Campbell 0

CANFIELD — Tricia Bettura (2-0) pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and also hit three singles and drove in four runs to power Canfield (3-0, 3-0 MAC). Melanie West hit two homers and drove in four runs while Mandi Moliterno hit a homer and drove in two runs for Canfield. Erica Melnik’s double was the only hit off Bettura. Campbell is 1-5, 0-3.

Niles 9, Chaney 5

NILES — Brooke Joseph’s three hits included a triple and double for the Red Dragons (4-4). Winning pitcher Aubrey Hale struck out four and walked five.

Fitch 7, Perry 6

MASSILLON — Carly Ortz had a double and RBI, while Stephanie Berdis had two singles and two RBIs for the Falcons (5-2, 2-1 Federal League). Also for the winners, Sam Kozbial and Kate Ferree added two singles apiece, while Haley Martinelli, Jena Baun and Alyssa Jones each had a single.

Liberty 3, Girard 0

LIBERTY — Kacey Kurtz had a double, two singles and one RBI while Alison House (3-2) pitched a six-hitter with five strikeouts to lead Liberty (3-2). Megan Kay added two singles for the Leopards.

Hubbard 3, Lakeview 2

CORTLAND — Kara Egelsky limited Lakeview to four hits over seven innings, striking out 11, and Hubbard (5-3, 4-1) benefited from two Bulldog errors to win the Trumbull Athletic Conference game. Egelsky hit a two-run double with one out in the third inning, which was extended due to the two Lakeview errors. MacKenzie Pallette went 2-for-3 for Lakeview (4-2, 4-2) and Abbey Bensing struck out seven in a losing effort.

LaBrae 13, Brookfield 1

LEAVITTSBURG — The Vikings (3-5, 2-4) scored 11 runs during the first three innings in cruising to the TAC victory. McKenzie Blaney (1-1) scattered three hits with six strikeouts to pick up the win. Angelica Pugh hit a double, triple and home run and scored three times. Bayle Boggs hit a two-run home run in the second inning and a two-run single in the second. Kelsie Daniel hit three singles and drove in three runs and Erica Stratakis hit two singles and drove in two runs. Maggie Marion of the Warriors (1-6, 0-6) hit two singles.

Maplewood 6, Lordstown 2

CORTLAND — Amanda Peska scattered four hits with four strikeouts to pick up the win for the Rockets (6-2). Tori Spencer hit four singles, while Peska hit two singles and drove in three runs. Brianna Sinn hit a pair of singles for the Red Devils.

Champion 5, Newton Falls 2

CHAMPION — Morgan White pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts for Champion (6-3, 5-0 TAC). White was backed by Amanda Sain’s double and two RBIs. Blaine Chapman (2-2) pitched a five-hitter with seven strikeouts for Newton Falls (3-4, 3-2).

Leetonia 13, Lowellville 0

LOWELLVILLE — The Bears, helped throughout the game with four walks and 12 Lowellville errors, put the game away with an eight-run sixth inning. Winning pitch Erin Lamb worked six innings with 11 strikeouts to pick up the win. She also hit a double and single. Ciera Cramer, with three RBIs, Kayla Trumble, Bobbie Miller and Clarisia Perkins each hit two singles and Sarah Weikart hit a triple and drove in two runs. Brooke Pallozzi hit two singles for the Rockets.

McDonald 1, Western Reserve 0

BERLIN CENTER — Kaitlin Rutushin (7-0) scattered three hits with 13 strikeouts to pick up the win. Sarah Entgall singled home the winning run in the third inning for McDonald (7-0, 6-0 ITCL Tier Two). Losing pitcher Elizabeth Srock of Western Reserve (4-3, 4-1) allowed only four hits and struck out 10.

South Range 8, East Palestine 6

NORTH LIMA —Junior Megan Beachley led off the game with a home run, while freshman Madison Yanek added a two-run homer for a quick 3-0 lead for South Range (5-3, 4-2 ITCL Tier One). Yanek also doubled. Winning pitcher Chelsea Leson, a junior, had two singles for three RBIs. Jesse Gamble had three hits including a triple for East Palestine (2-5, 1-5).

Jackson-Milton 10, Wellsville 2

NORTH JACKSON — Cat Keck’s three hits included a three-run homer. Katelynn Pirko, Brittany McGee and Taylor Dugan each had two hits. Winning pitcher Lindsey Knipp (3-5) struck out 11 batters and walked one for the Bluejays (3-5, 3-3 ITCL Tier Two).

United 10, Springfield 6

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Junior Stephanie Richards had a grand slam and double and five RBIs for United (9-1, 3-1 ITCL Tier One). Sophomore Ashley Davis had two singles and a two-run homer for two RBIs, while junior Rebecca Evan also knocked in two runs for Springfield (3-6, 2-2).

Sebring 11, Southern 3

SALINEVILLE — Sebring’s three-run third inning snapped a 1-1 tie. Megan Allcorn had a home run, Chantel Fox had a triple and Emily Dickens had three singles for the Trojans, who out-hit Southern, 15-7.

Marlington 10, West Branch 0

ALLIANCE — The Dukes (3-3, 1-2) put the Northeastern Buckeye Conference game away with a five-run fifth inning. Katie Sellaroli (0-3) took the loss for the Warriors (0-9, 0-4).

Kent Roosevelt 1, Southeast 0

KENT — Samantha Lockhart singled home the winning run in the last of the eighth inning for Kent Roosevelt (1-5). She also had another single. Marissa Manocchio added two singles for the Rough Riders. Danielle Kaley pitched a six-hitter for Southeast (7-1) in taking the mound loss. She is 2-1.
