New Middletown council mulling bids for road work

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Village council has received bids for the summer road paving program. Officials will review the bids and award the contract at their May 12 meeting.

Bidders for this year’s paving program, which includes Ohlin Drive and and Warner, Jeffrey and Linford Lanes, are: Butch and McCree Paving, Hillsville, Pa., $83,396; Diorio Paving, Girard, $98,735; Kirila Contractors, Brookfield, $97,751; Shelly and Sands, Girard, $96,904; R.T. Vernal Paving, North Lima, $86,298; and Shelly Company, Twinsburg, $114,333.
