New Middletown Police Chief William Morvay has been chief there since 1998 and worked as a police officer for a total of 30 years. The totals were incorrect in a story published Tuesday.

Boardman Township’s new police rank officers contract will cost the township an additional $147,000 in the current fiscal year. A story Monday on A1 headlined “Boardman cops get new pact,” may have caused some readers to draw the conclusion that union health care co-pays and new wage differential plan will save the township on its overall budget.
