Boardman flea market to open
BOARDMAN — A North Lima couple is opening a flea market Saturday at the site of the former McCrone’s Furniture, 7689 South Ave.
Larry and Linda Deckant bought the building a year ago for $390,000 and have been working since then to open South Avenue Flea Market.
Linda Deckant is the owner of Possessions, a women’s clothing store at 945 Boardman-Canfield Road. Her husband said he used to own rental properties in Youngstown but sold them to focus on the new business.
Larry Deckant said the flea market will have various vendors, including craft and antique dealers.
He said 23 of the 56 vending spots have been taken so far, but he expects that number to increase by Saturday.
The business will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
