Victim identified

WARREN – Police have identified the victim of a Sunday morning accident as Sally Miller of Niles, who was struck by a car while helping her father with his disabled pickup truck on Youngstown Road.

Miller, 53, of Clay Street, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Health Center.

Detective Mike Stabile said Loren Wingard, 73, of Woodbine Avenue, was driving his truck eastbound on Youngstown Road near Edgehill Avenue shortly after 3:30 a.m.

The truck became disabled on an incline and Miller, a passenger, got out to push the truck and was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Jane A. Penny, 29, of Cynthia Court, Niles.
