Vehicle strikes, kills woman walking

WARREN — A woman walking along Youngstown Road was killed when she was struck by a vehicle at 3:40 a.m. Sunday.

Police did not identify her because her family had not been notified.

Police said two sport-utility vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred near Edgehill Avenue. No other details were released.

She was the third pedestrian killed in the Mahoning Valley in the past week. Helen Mrosko, 39, of Youngstown was killed when a car pinned her against the East Side Civics in Youngstown. In Howland, Ann Delvecchio, 53, of Howland, was killed when she was hit by a vehicle as she was crossing state Route 46.
