Historical Society to serve high tea

AUSTINTOWN — The Austintown Historical Society has scheduled its 15th annual High Tea at the Stock Stone House, 7171 Mahoning Ave.
Seatings for the tea are available at noon and 2 p.m. May 3 and at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. May 4.
The menu will include coffees and a variety of teas, finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and other items that are traditionally served during a high tea.
Tables will be covered with lace cloths, and bone china cups, saucers and dessert plates will be provided for guests. Antique teapots, cups and saucers from around the world will be displayed.
Free tours of the Strock Stone House will be conducted after each seating, and there also will be a basket raffle. Raffle tickets are $1, five for $3 or 15 for $5, and the winner need not be present for the drawing.
Admission to the tea is $14, and gift certificates are available. Proceeds will benefit the Austintown Historical Society.
The public is invited to attend the event. Reservations are required before April 26 by sending a check, made payable to the society, to Austintown Historical Society-High Tea, c/o Elaine Dovala, 288 Wilcox Road, Austintown, OH 44515.
