Getting Started: Golf events


Here is a list of some early golf events that have been submitted:

The West Branch Warrior Golf Scramble will be May 3 at Westville Golf Course. The event will have an 11 a.m. shotgun start for the four-person scramble. Entry fee is $200 per team and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, food, beverages and prize money. For more information, contact Lynn Grove at (330) 525-7165.

The Hattie Larlham Sugar Bush Golf Classic to benefit children and adults with disabilities will be May 21 at Sugar Bush Golf Course. There are morning and afternoon shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Entry fee is $125 per person or $500 per team. For more information, contact Nancy Farinacci at (330) 274-2272, ext. 3878.

The Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic Golf Classic will be June 9 at the Youngstown Country Club. Reservations are being accepted at $175 per person. All proceeds will benefit various adult and youth programs as well as the Dick Riley Fellowship Hall, a safe haven meeting place for people in recovery from addictions. The Austintown Beautification Committee 9-11 Memorial golf outing will be June 22 at the Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course in Lake Milton. Entry fee is $65 per golfer or $260 per team. Fees include green fees, golf cart, coffee, donuts and dinner. The four-man scramble will have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. For more information, contact Tom Oaks at (330) 792-1179.

The UPMC Community Health Foundation will hold its masters scramble June 23 at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa. Entry fee is $175 per person that includes lunch and dinner. There will be an 11 a.m. shotgun start. For more information, call (724) 983-7159.
