CANFIELD — Angels for Animals will sponsor a gigantic garage sale Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Canfield Fairgrounds to raise funds to benefit homeless animals.
In addition to great buys, the event will feature a Chinese raffle and a 50-50 raffle, and refreshments will be available.
Admission to an early bird sale from 10 a.m. to noon Friday will be $5. Admission from noon to 8 that day and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday is $1. On Sunday, there will be no admission fee and most items will be half-price from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. From 3 to 5 p.m., customers who buy a wristband for $5 can participate in a truckload sale.
Area residents have been asked to donate items for the sale, and to browse and buy during the three-day event. Those contributing items such as furniture, books, toys and small appliances are asked to enter the main gate to the fairgrounds on state Route 46, then follow the signs to the drop-off area. Clean usable items will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
Donors are reminded that the Angels are not accepting refrigerators, stoves, large appliances, console TVs, sofa beds, encyclopedias, tires, artificial Christmas trees, mattresses or box springs.
No strollers or wagons will be permitted inside the buildings during sale hours.
