Speaker will discuss research on visionaries at program April 26


YOUNGSTOWN — The Divine Will Prayer and Study Group will host a special program with a speaker April 26 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church hall, 252 E. Wood St. The topic will be “In His Living Presence.”

Registration will be at 10 a.m. followed by opening remarks by the Rev. Nicholas Mancini, church pastor. Lunch will be at noon.

Dr. Ramon M. Sanchez, who is in practice in Atlanta, will speak at 1 p.m. A neurologist, he does research on visionaries. Sanchez, who was born in Havana, Cuba, came to the United States and earned a medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He did residencies at Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and Jackson Memorial Hospitals/University of Miami School of Medicine, where he continued in a residency specializing in epilepsy and sleep disorders.

His book, “In His Living Presence,” chronicles research on patients whose electrical brain functions were studied simultaneously with their behavior. Confessions will be at 3:30 and Mass at 4.
