Mahoning Valley District to host convention

YOUNGSTOWN — Greater Mahoning Valley District of the Churches of God In Christ will host the Ohio North First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction 2008 Women’s Convention on April 22-25 at Fellowship Tabernacle Christian Center, 2139 Market St.

The convention will include daytime workshops and a health fair.

Evening services will feature national speakers, State Supervisor Thelma H. Giles-Butts, of Akron, and evangelists Shirley Jordan, of Mansfield, Joyce Rogers, of Texas, and Elaine Wright, of Michigan.

Participants will be Bishop Walter E. Jordan, Ohio North First Ecclesiastical prelate; Ross Johnson, host superintendent; and Canary Howard, host district missionary. From Fellowship Tabernacle are Kenny and Dione Eldridge, host pastors.
