Change for Jewish-Christian Studies

BOARDMAN — Jewish-Christian Studies-South has changed its sessions from Tuesdays to Wednesdays. The group will now meet at 2 p.m. May 7 and 14 at Congregation Ohev Tzedek, 5245 Glenwood Ave. It had met Wednesdays.

The subject will be “The Role of Abraham for Christians and What is Meant by Redemption in Our Traditions.”

Rabbi Joel Berman of Ohev Tzedek and the Rev. George Balasko, pastor of St. Ann Church in East Liverpool, lead the sessions, which are open to all.

A course, “Continuing Jewish Education,” is planned at 7 p.m. April 30 and May 7 and 21 at Ohev Tzedek. The cost is $15, which covers a book and supplementary materials, and checks should be dropped off at the synagogue office. Registration is due now.

The Rabbi Meyer lecture, an annual event, will be at 7 p.m. May 12 at Ohev Tzedek.
