ASHLAND UNIVERSITY, Ashland, Ohio
Lindsay Owen, daughter of Michael and Brenda Owen of Canfield, is president of the Art Club. She is majoring in art education. The Art Club participates in demonstrations and travels to different museums. The members also visit various art workshops, where they learn diverse art trades. Membership is open to any student.
WESTMINSTER COLLEGE, New Wilmington, Pa.
Seven area residents have been recently selected for membership in Mortar Board, an honor society that recognizes seniors with leadership, scholarship and service skills. They will be recognized at the Spring Honors Convocation Saturday.
They are:
Jenna Cunningham, daughter of Roger and Tammera Cunningham of New Castle, a junior elementary education major and graduate of Neshannock High School.
Matthew Saines, son of George and MaryAnn Saines of New Castle, a junior business administration and accounting major and graduate of Neshannock High School.
Kylee Young, daughter of Richard and Mary Ann Young of New Castle, a junior accounting and business administration major and graduate of Mohawk Area High School.
Matthew Zeigler, son of Alan and Shirleen Zeigler of New Castle, a junior financial economics major and graduate of Shenango High School.
Natasha Kassim, daughter of Laurie Kassim. Kassim, of Canfield, a junior biochemistry and political science major and graduate of Canfield High School.
Nathan Capello, son of Robert and Karla Capello of Slippery Rock, a senior accounting and financial economics major and graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School.
Michelle Johnston, daughter of Ray and Kimberly Johnston of Beaver Falls, a senior biology major and graduate of Blackhawk High School.
