Katie A. Kachmar and Sean P. Carey to marry in Calif.

X YOUNGSTOWN — Gail Battisti, of 1892 Chapel Hill Drive, announces the engagement of her daughter, Katie A. Kachmar, and Sean P. Carey, both of 550 Park Blvd. No. 2505, San Diego.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of Nicholas Kachmar of Pittsburgh, and the prospective groom is the son of Charley and Sandy Carey of California.

The couple plan to marry at 5 p.m. May 17 at the Coronado Marriott Resort in Coronado, Calif., where a reception will follow. Invitations will be extended for both.

Miss Kachmar graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in health science. She is employed as an account executive for Med-Impact Health Care in San Diego.

Mr. Carey, a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in geography, is a sales representative for Anheuser Busch Co. in San Diego.
