Boardman teen abducted, released

BOARDMAN — A 17-year-old Beaver Township boy told police he was abducted and robbed of his cell phone while walking along Southern Boulevard.

The boy said he had left the Southern Park Mall and was walking toward home about 9:15 p.m. Thursday when a dark-colored Jeep containing four teenage boys pulled into a lot, ordering him into the vehicle and threatening to beat him up.

The boys ordered the victim to give them his cellular phone. One of the boys went through the victim’s pockets. The boy told police that one of the passengers in the Jeep told him they were going to his house to see if he had anything of value. The boy told them he could get money from his mother who was baby-sitting at a neighbor’s home. When the boy went inside to get his mother, the car left.
