AUXILIARIES

• Auxiliary to VFW Post 3538, Lowellville Road, Struthers, will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the post home. The nomination and election of officers will take place. A social will follow. For more information, call (330) 755-2701.

• St. Anthony’s Auxiliary of Struthers will hold its monthly meeting at noon Monday at Johnny’s Restaurant in Boardman. Plans for the Mother’s Day banquet in May and the Feast of St. Anthony in June will be the main topic of President Arlene DeChellis, followed by a business meeting. Reservations should be made to the telephone girls.

CLASSES

• Rayen High School Class of 1979 will meet at 4 p.m. Saturday at Denny’s on Belmont Avenue.

CLUBS

• Casa Savoia will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for lunch at Rotelli Italian Grille, 6526 South Ave., Boardman. Reservations are to be made with Flora Actontia or Mary Sinesio.

• Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet at noon Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for a luncheon and Founders Day program. Hostesses will be Laura Reed and Dorothy Demen.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

• Friends of the Boardman Library will meet Monday for their monthly program in the community room. The social will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. by Patricia Harvey’s presentation on “Nesting Habits of North American Birds.”

Guests and new members are welcome; no reservations are needed. A brief business meeting will follow.

Hostesses for the social will be Doris Almasy, Jane Clarke, Martha Standley, Marion Summers and Dorothy Velker.

Friends continue to collect books, magazines and tapes for the book cart on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. until noon in support of the library’s reading programs.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

• Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Manor, 313 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown. Clark Jones from the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency will speak about the weather. New members are welcome.

• D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. The Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will have a meeting at 7 p.m. April 21 at St. Charles Church Ministry Building, 7325 Westview Drive, at the Corner of state Route 224 and Westview Drive in Boardman. The building is handicapped accessible.

The program will be Berlin Center History by Ivan Hoyle, retired Berlin Twp. trustee and past president of the Berlin Historical Society.

The computer interest group will meet at 6 p.m.
