The four Ohio death row inmates who have successfully challenged their sentences based on the claim they are mentally retarded:

Derrick Evans, Cuyahoga County, sentenced to die for killing Joann Richards and Marcellus Williams in a 1987 Cleveland robbery. Resentenced to 30 years to life in 2006 after a trial court upheld his mental retardation claim.

Darryl Gumm, Hamilton County, sentenced to die for killing 10-year-old Aaron Raines in Cincinnati in 1992. Resentenced to 48 years to life in 2007 after a trial and appeals court upheld his claim.

Kevin Yarbrough, Shelby County, sentenced to die for killing Wilma Arnett in Sidney in 1994. Resentenced to 55 years to life in prison in 2007 after trial court upheld his claim.

Clifton White, Summit County, sentenced to die for killing Deborah Thorpe in Akron in 1995. Faces resentencing after the Ohio Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld his mental retardation claim.
