Campbell homecoming queen in state contest


CAMPBELL — Lorrin Pico, daughter of Pat and Karen Pico of Campbell and Campbell Memorial High School’s homecoming queen this year, has been named a finalist for Ohio’s 28th Annual Homecoming Queen selection process, part of the America’s Homecoming Queen competition.

The Ohio event will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Dayton Hotel in Dayton.

Local school homecoming queens are invited to file applications for the state contest.

The winner will receive a cash scholarship and an expense-paid trip to the national finals in California this summer.

America’s Homecoming Queen Inc. is a nonprofit organization promoting education, educational travel and community service in all 50 states.

Pico is vice president of the senior class at Campbell, vice president of the National Honor Society, a cheerleader and a member of the Art Club, Spanish Club and Ski Club. She is a member of St. Lucy Church, is employed at the Hollister store in Southern Park Mall and will attend Kent State University this fall.
