Tractor-trailer loses load, closes I-80 exit ramp

GIRARD — A tractor-trailer rig, southbound on state Route 11, lost its load while on the exit ramp turning east onto Interstate 80.

The ramp was closed from about 4:45 to 8 p.m. today while the scrap and sheet metal the truck was carrying was cleaned up.

While the ramp was closed, traffic was rerouted via Gypsy Lane. The truck driver was not injured, according to the Ohio Highway State Patrol, which is investigating the crash. The driver’s name was unavailable.
